Prof. Ahmed Abdelgawad, IEEE Northeast Michigan Section Chair
Central Michigan University, USA

Dr. Ahmed Abdelgawad received his M.S. and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2007 and 2011 and subsequently joined IBM as a Design Aids & Automation Engineering Professional at Semiconductor Research and Development Center. In Fall 2012 he joined Central Michigan University as a Computer Engineering Assistant Professor. In Fall 2022, Dr. Abdelgawad was promoted to the rank of Professor. He is a senior member of IEEE. His area of expertise is Internet of Things (IoT), distributed computing for Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), data fusion techniques for WSN, low power embedded system, digital signal processing, Robotics, RFID, Localization, VLSI, and FPGA design. He has published two books and more than 100 articles in related journals and conferences. Dr. Abdelgawad served as a reviewer for several journals and conferences, including IEEE IoT Journal, IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Transactions on VLSI, and IEEE Transactions on I&M, Springer, Elsevier, IEEE WF-IoT, IEEE ISCAS, IEEE SAS, and IEEE MWSCAS. He severed in the organizing committees of IEEE WF-IoT, IEEE ISCAS, IEEE ICIP, IEEE SiPS, IEEE MWSCAS, and GIoTS. In addition, he taught many short IoT courses in different countries. He was the keynote speakers for many international conferences and conducted many webinars. He is currently the IEEE Northeast Michigan section chair and IEEE SPS Internet of Things (IoT) SIG Member. In addition, Dr. Abdelgawad served as a PI and Co-PI for several funded grants from NSF.

 

Prof. Hanna Bogucka
Poznan University of Technology, Poland

Hanna Bogucka received the M.Sc. and the Ph.D. degrees from Poznan University of Technology (PUT), Poznan, Poland in 1988 and 1995 respectively. In 2006, she received the Doctor Habilitus degree from PUT. She became the full professor in technical sciences in 2014. She has been employed at PUT since 1988, currently as a professor at the Institute of Radiocommunications, Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications. In 2008-2016 she was the Deputy-Dean for Research in the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications. In 2016-2019 she was the head of the Department of Wireless Communications at this faculty. Currently, she holds the position of the Director of the Institute of Radiocommunications.

She has been an Executive Editor of „Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies” (Wiley), a member of the editorial board of „Recent Patents on Telecommunications” (now „Recent Advances in Communications and Networking Technology”), Bentham Science Publishers, as well as of "Advances in Electronics and Telecommunications”, Publishing House of PUT. She has also been the chair or a member of a number of Technical Program Commitees of the national and international conferences. She has also been acting as a reviewer for a number of IEEE journals and magazines.

Since 1991, prof. Bogucka is the member of The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Communications Society and IEEE Polish Chapter, IEEE ComSoc Radio Communications Committee (RCC), IEEE Technical Committee of Green Communications and Computing (TCGCC), IEEE Women in Communications Engineering and IEEE ComSoc Networking Networking Women (N2W). In the years 2003-2006, she was the member of the National Committee of the International Union of Radio Sciences (URSI), the member of IEEE Kiyo Tomiyasu Award Committee in 2012-2014 and the member of IEEE Awards Board (2017-2018). She has been appointed as the IEEE Communications Society Director for EAME Region (Europe, Africa, Middle East) for the term of 2014-2015, and elected IEEE Radio Communications Committee Chair for the term of 2015-2016. Currently she the member of IEEE ComSoc Nominations and Elections Standing Committee (2018-2020).

Prof. Hanna Bogucka was elected the corresponding member of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) in 2016. Since 2017, she is the member of the Electronics and Telecommunication Committee of PAN, and vice-chair of this Committee since 2020. Since 2017, she represents PAN in Euro-CASE (European Council of Applied Sciences Technologies and Engineering) EngEdu Platform (Engineering Education Platform). Since 2019, she is the member of the Presidium of the Poznan Branch of PAN. Prof. Bogucka is also involved in teaching activities at PUT, giving lectures on Radio Communications, Information and Coding Theory and Software Defined and Cognitive Radio Systems.

Prof. Xiaofeng Ding,

Ding Xiaofeng, professor of the School of Computer Science, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and doctoral supervisor. His main research directions are big data management, cloud computing, data privacy protection methods, and data query processing technology. As a postdoctoral fellow, he worked in 2010 and 2013, he was engaged in research on big data management, privacy protection, query processing, and data-intensive service technology at the National University of Singapore and the University of South Australia in Australia. Currently, it has been included in IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, International Conference on Very Large Databases (VLDB), IEEE International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE), IEEE Published or accepted more than 50 academic papers in international and domestic well-known academic journals and conferences such as International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems (ICDCS), Information Sciences, Knowledge Based Systems, Chinese Science: Information Science, Journal of Computer Science, Journal of Software.

Prof. Yongwei Huang,

Yongwei Huang (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Bachelor of Science degree in information and computational science in 1998 and the Master of Science degree in operations research in 2000, both from Chongqing University, Chongqing, China. In 2005, he received the Ph.D. degree in systems engineering and engineering management from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. He is currently a Professor with the School of Information Engineering, the Guangdong University of Technology, Xi'an, China, which he joined in 2016. Prior to the position, he held a Faculty position with the Hong Kong Baptist University, and several research appointments, namely, with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the University of Naples “Federico II,” Italy.

His research interests include optimization theory and algorithms, and their applications to array signal processing and beamforming, and to signal processing for wireless communications and radar. He was the recipient of Best Poster Award in the 2007 Workshop on Optimization and Signal Processing. He has been currently a Handling Editor for the Signal Processing (Elsevier), and an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Signal and Information Processing over Networks. He has been a member of Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal Processing Technical Committee of IEEE Signal Processing Society. He was an Associate Editor for the IEEE Signal Processing Letters.

 

Prof. Yuan Zhuang,
Wuhan University, China

Graduated from Southeast University Wu Jianxiong College (intensive class), School of Information Science and Engineering (Information Engineering); master's degree in Electronic Science and Engineering (Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics) from Southeast University; Ph.D. from the University of Calgary, Canada School of Surveying and Mapping (supervisor: Prof. Naser El-Sheimy, academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering).
Focusing on the intersecting characteristics of navigation, information, and electronics, the main research directions cover multi-sensor fusion positioning, navigation and perception, Internet of Things, Internet of Vehicles sensor applications (identification, communication, positioning and detection), low-power positioning and navigation chips and terminals. Host/participate in six high-level scientific research projects funded by Canada and other countries. Published more than 50 papers in international authoritative journals and conferences, and published 25 papers in SCI journals as the first and corresponding author. The main achievements have been published in international authoritative journals in the field of information, Internet of Things and chips, such as IEEE Commun. Surv. & Tut. (IF=22.973), IEEE IoT J., IEEE J. Solid-St. Circ., etc., Google Scholar Cited more than 1000 times. Professor Zhuang has rich experience in the industry, and the positioning and navigation-related products developed by him are widely used in internationally renowned institutions such as Google, Cisco, Coca-Cola, Marriott, and Mayo Clinic (No. 1 in the United States). Relevant results were reported by the Wall Street Journal and other media. Apply for 11 invention patents (including 2 PCT patents and 2 US patents), 10 have been authorized, and 3 core patents and 1 IP have been transferred.

 

Prof. Xinwei Yao
Zhejiang University of Technology, China

Yao Xinwei, currently a professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Computer Science and Technology, Zhejiang University of Technology, deputy dean of the Frontier Interdisciplinary Science Research Institute of Zhejiang University of Technology, and Zhejiang Province Outstanding Youth. In 2008 and 2013, respectively, in the School of Mechanical Engineering and the School of Computer Science and Technology, Zhejiang University of Technology, received a bachelor's degree and a doctoral degree, and was awarded Zhejiang Province Outstanding Graduates and Zhejiang University of Technology Excellent Doctoral Dissertation. From 2012 to 2013, supported by Zhejiang Province's "Information Technology and Processing" key disciplines, went to the Department of Computer Science, Loughborough University, UK for joint training. In 2014, he was selected as the first batch of "Associate Professor" of Zhejiang University of Technology and "Youth Academic Backbone Overseas Training Program" of Zhejiang University of Technology. From 2015 to 2016, he went to the Department of Electronic Engineering, State University of New York at Buffalo as a visiting professor for academic visits. .

In 2016, he was selected as "Excellent Young Teacher (Youth Talent Support Program)" of Zhejiang University of Technology. In June 2020, he was selected as one of the top ten young scientific and technological talents in Hangzhou (every two years), and in July 2020, he was selected into the Zhejiang Provincial University Leading Talent Training Program (5246 Talent Project). In September 2020, he was selected as the 2020 Hangzhou Qianjiang Distinguished Expert. In December 2020, he was selected as the 2020 Hangzhou Innovation and Entrepreneurship Figure (only four). In April 2021, he was selected as a ZAIL100 youth committee member of the River of Science and Technology Innovation Association (a total of 7 youth committee members in the province). In November 2022, he was selected into the "Science and Technology Innovation China" Zhijiang Youth 100. In November 2022, he was awarded the Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of Zhejiang Province.

The main research fields are the basic theories, core technologies and comprehensive solutions of intelligent Internet of Things, crowd perception and collaboration, intelligent robots, etc., and the scientific research achievements have won the National Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Outstanding Youth Award (the first winner in Zhejiang Province), Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Technology 7 provincial and ministerial awards, including the first prize for progress, the second prize for technological invention, the second prize for technological invention of Zhejiang Province, the second prize for science and technology of China Coal Industry Association, and published more than 80 academic papers, including IEEE TMC, IEEE TNNLS, More than 30 papers in TOP journals such as IEEE IoT-J, IEEE TCAD, etc., 1 paper is a highly cited paper in journals, 3 English monographs and 3 chapters, and 1 Chinese book. More than 20 national invention patents and more than 10 software copyrights have been authorized. Presided over more than 30 scientific research projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (youth project, general project), Zhejiang Provincial Outstanding Youth Science Fund, Zhejiang "Pioneering Soldier" and "Leading Wild Goose" project, and Zhejiang Provincial "Unveiling the List" major enterprise entrusted project. Prof. Kai Wan,
Huazhong University of Science & Technology, China

I am currently a full professor in the School of Electronic Information and Communications, Huazhong University of Science & Technology, with which I received the Hundred-Talent Program of Hubei, and the East Lake Youth Talent Program Fellowship. I was a post-doctoral researcher with the Communications and Information Theory Chair (CommIT) at Technische Universität Berlin with Prof. Giuseppe Caire, from Sep. 2018 to Aug. 2022. I received the Ph.D. degrees in Communications from Université Paris-Saclay with Prof. Daniela Tuninetti, in 2018, the M.Sc. degree in Communications from Université Paris-Saclay in 2014, and the B.E. degree in Optoelectronics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, in 2012. My research interests include information theory, coding techniques, and their applications on coded caching, index coding, distributed storage, distributed computing, wireless communications, privacy and security, machine learning. I am now serving as an Associate Editor of IEEE Communications Letters from Aug. 2021.

 

Assoc. Prof. Lin Lin,
Tongji University, China

Dr. Lin Lin is an Associate Professor in the College of Electronics and Information Engineering at Tongji University in Shanghai, China. He received the B.Eng. degree and M.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from Tianjin University, China, and received his Ph.D. degree from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Lin was an EU Marie Curie Fellow. He is currently the Chair of IEEE ComSoc Molecular, Biological and Multi-scale Communications Technical Committee, and the Chair of IEEE Nanotechnology Council Nanoscale Communications Technical Committee. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Nanotechnology Magazine and IEEE Access, a guest editor of IEEE Nanotechnology Magazine and IEEE Transactions on Molecular, Biological, and Multi-Scale Communications. He hosted the 1st China-Germany Molecular Communication Workshop in 2019. He served as steering committee member and organizing committee member for various conferences and workshops in the molecular communication related field. He received ACM Shanghai Rising Star Award in 2019. His research interests include molecular communications, neural communications, Internet of Nanothings (IoNTs), Body Sensor Networks (BSNs), etc.

 

Assoc. Prof. Jianguo Chen
Sun Yat-sen University, China

Jianguo Chen is currently an Associate Professor and one of the Hundred Academic Talents in the School of Software Engineering of Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), China. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Technology from Hunan University, China, in 2018. Before joining SYSU, he was a postdoc at the University of Toronto in Canada and a research scientist at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore. His major research interests include distributed and parallel computing, artificial intelligence, and the application in the fields of intelligent transportation, intelligent robot, and intelligent medicine. He has published more than 50 research papers in international conferences and journals such as IEEE-TII, IEEE-TITS, IEEE-TPDS, IEEEE-TKDE, IEEE/ACM-TCBB, ACM-TIST, and ACM-TCPS. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor in the International Journal of Embedded Systems and Journal of Current Scientific Research and the Journal of Current Scientific Research, the guest editor of Information Sciences and Natural Computing and Applications, and the technical committee member of multiple international academic conferences.

 

Assoc. Prof. Min Lv
University of Science and Technology of China, China

Min Lv is an associate professor at the School of Computer Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology of China. In 1999, she graduated from the Department of Mathematics of Anhui University with a Bachelor's degree; in 2002, she received a Master's degree in applied mathematics from Anhui University; in 2005, she received a PhD degree in mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China. She was a post-doctor in School of Computer Science and Technology at the University of Science and Technology of China from 2005 to 2007 and a visiting scholar at Purdue University in 2015. Her research interests are in distributed storage systems, social networks, and security and privacy. She published many papers in important international conferences and journals such as VLDB, SIGMOD, INFOCOM, TPDS, VLDB Journal, ACM Trans., and participated in the compilation of an academic monograph in English (Morgan & Claypool Press).

 

Assoc. Prof. Ruijie Zhu,
Zhengzhou University, China

Ruijie Zhu is currently an associate professor in the School of Information Engineering, Zhengzhou University. He received the PhD degree in the State Key Lab of Information Photonics and Optical Communication at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), China. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Texas at Dallas under the supervision of Prof. Jason P. Jue. He is a review editor of Frontiers in Communications and Networks. He is also a reviewer of IEEE Communications Magazine, Journal of Lightwave Technology, Computer Networks and etc. His research interests include Internet of Things (IoTs), 6G satellite communication networks, and intelligent optical networks.

 

Dr. Tao Chen,
Fudan University, China

Dr. Tao Chen, the PI of the Embedded Vision Lab at Fudan University, received his Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore in 2012. At the beginning of 2018, he was selected into the National High Level Oversea Talent Plan, and then he joined Fudan University as a tenure-track Professor. Before joining Fudan, he worked at the top research institutions such as the Singapore Intelligent Robotics Laboratory, Singapore Institute for Infocomm Research, and Huawei Singapore Research Center. Since 2019, he joined Fudan and led a research team focusing on light deep vision model design, multimodal vision analysis, and edge device-aware vision applications. To date, Dr. Tao Chen has undertaken multiple projects and fundings from various goverment agencies such as NSFC and corporations like Huawei, Tencent. He has published nearly 100 academic papers in various reputable journals and conferences like IEEE T-PAMI/IJCV/T-IP/CVPR/NeurIPS, etc., and has granted over 10 PCT patents.
